Hi guys just been looking at the tyres , and there looking a little bit aged, still loads of tread there , but a few minuscule cracks appearing on the sidewall .. So what do recommend for standard 8 spokes , for road use ..

Cheers kie

I fitted Toyo Proxes CF1 all round and am very happy with them. Available in the original 205/60 size as well

Happy Crimbo Kie.

Keep seeing the tail end of you out and about!

The Uniroyal Rainsprt 3 on Tamy work really well on the road. Not sure they come in 15 inch though. I was going to go Bluerinse on Samy.

I'd recommend Continental Contact 5's, had them on the S3 and now on the v8s, very very pleased with wear, comfort and overall performance in all weathers imho........

At £63.00 each + VAT i thought was very reasonable.......

Merry Christmas all

Another vote for the Bridgestones, seem to be an ideal mix of wet/dry performance for me and transformed the handling on my S1

Cheers guys, for the tyres suggested , some phone bashing in the new year , as I probably need to have another geo and suspension set up as the exhaust is nearly dragging its 4rse ....

Merry Xmas , Kie

Hi All
Don't forget the speed rating when you get your new tyres.

Kie,

Bluerinse Are £5 off each tyre if ordered online at the moment. Just ordered two (205/55/16) for the front of the Box. £130 fitted inc wheel alignment check (which I know is out).

ATS Euromaster. If you order online you can get them fitted in Coulsdon.

They are V rated. However, I did check other sizes (for Samy) and they are more expensive. If you have 16s and can deal with a slightly smaller size the 205 / 55' I bought are a good deal (inmho). I'm sure they can be had cheaper elsewhere but I doubt I'd save the money against doing something else with my time. Add £1.25 a tyre for nitrogen fill instead of air.

Quick update. Done a couple of hundred miles on the new front tyres (rears were replaced 6-months ago with Hancook Kinergy with B rated wet grip).

Much better feel and grip up front. Noticeable reduction in tyre roar. MPG improved slightly too, according to fuelly.com.
